Dr Daniel Mullane, one of Facing Africa’s volunteer anaesthetist has decided to take on a massive challenge in aid of Facing Africa.

Dan discussed his idea with two friends and Facing Africa anaesthetists Patrick and Peter, they both decided to join Dan for his massive fundraiser. From the 8th of March 2020 Dan, Patrick and Peter started to cycle the distance of Cork, Ireland to Addis Ababa,Ethiopia, in total they will cycle a massive 8942 KM (5556 miles).

Currently living in Cork, all three enjoy cycling inter spare time, although we’re not sure how they’ll feel about it after this massive challenge! Their aim is to raise 5000 euros to go towards the replacement and upkeep of Facing Africa’s monitors that are essential for the complex facial surgery carried out on each mission.
